Nothing gives me such pure unadulterated delight like the aroma of vanilla crepes in the morning. It takes me way back to my childhood when mum would make us breakfast on the weekends. Well ,mostly Sundays.
If we were lucky, the aroma of the vanilla crepes would waft muffled with meaty notes of sausages; and if we were really good, bacon.
More often than not, I was just as content to have my crepes with red plum or strawberry jam.

Also, when you are pouring your batter in the pan, you don’t want the pan oily because it will make it difficult for you to spread the batter out thin. After all ,what are crepes if not as thin as possible!
