Awry August. Sigh! I made these fried potato gnocchi for the blog about three weeks ago, but as August would have it, the recipe is going live today.
The month of August doesn’t auger well with me. Some of you may or may not have noticed but the site was down for an odd two weeks or so. That is when I realised what kaaris-kitchen.com means to me. It is an extension of myself and there was a grey cloud looming above my head each day it was down. Who knew one could get so attached to an inanimate object. Not me.
Now that we are back, it has taken me a couple of days to get back into the swing of things. Like getting back on a horse after a long stint away. On a positive note, I return with a new found inspiration with regards to social media. Having to use social media platforms without the support of a website for reference was a tail spinner for me. I also realised that there are a lot of people who are doing great work on social media without a site!
I also took the time out to finish my ebook Jipange Jikoni, which is truly the only silver lining to my August. If you haven’t bought your copy and would want one, place your order by sending me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I should have the book up on in my store (https://kaaris-kitchen.com /shop) by this weekend too.
So I have decided to change my modus operandi. Switch it up a little bit. And hope that you will be here for all of it!
On to the recipe.
Very few recipes are as pleasant and simple as fried potato gnocchi. This particular one is pretty much as basic as it gets. There are numerous other ways to add or change the colour or flavor. I believe it’s always best to begin with the basics and grow from there.
