I like to tickle and excite my taste buds so the more varied the flavors, the better. If you like chilli like I do, you can garnish the pineapple spears with cayenne instead of cinnamon. Just picture the bounty of flavor right there!
Have a pineapple whenever you can, if not for their juicy sweetness, then because:
- Rich in vitamin C (Obviously!)
- Rich in Potassium (Blood pressure)
- High fibre (Digestion, Diabetes)
- Antioxidant/mineral rich (Fertility)
- 1 pineapple
- ½ cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
In a pan, melt the butter and mix in the sugar and cinnamon.
Coat the pineapple spears with the butter mixture and grill for 8-10 minutes until it is slightly charred.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon to serve.
