I feel giddy inside. After undergoing surgery earlier this month, i have finally walked into the kitchen. Yaaaay!!! There is an abandon of fruits. So i got about whipping up a beautiful mango strawberry smoothie.
So many things i want to do. So many recipes to work on. It feels good to be on my feet again. So many things we take for granted…like the ability to sit. Or stand. Or even walk. In this journey, i am learning patience. And gratitude. I look forward to watching the sun rise every morning.
Its a new year. A new dawn. So its going to be a super charged healthy run for a while 🙂 . This mango strawberry smoothie is full of pep and flavor, just the thing you need to jump start your day.
We all know that the first thing you should take in the morning is a glass of water, preferably lemon water. This acts as awake up call for your liver. Our mango strawberry smoothie comes a powerful second with the vitamin C from the orange.
So go ahead and whip yourself a glass…it takes less time to prepare than eggs and bacon 🙂
- 2 Mangoes
- 1 Cup of strawberries
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 orange
- Honey/Sugar to taste
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cut the mangoes into chunks and place in the blender. Add chunks of orange to the mangoes and pulse until smooth. Set aside.
In the blender, pulse the strawberries with chunks of orange and yogurt.
To both the mango and the strawberry, add honey or sugar to taste. Personally, I didn’t add any sweetener and it tasted yummy 😋. Pour into a glass and enjoy this mango strawberry smoothie 😋😋
