I enjoyed this citrus thyme cake because it had a savory flavour level that is absolutely enticing. The flavour combination of thyme and lemon is simply divine. And the aroma is pure bliss.
Nothing gives me such pure unadulterated delight like the aroma of vanilla crepes in the morning. It takes me way back to my childhood when mum would make us breakfast on the weekends. Well ,mostly Sundays.
This cinnamon grilled pineapple spears recipe can may be used either as a desert or as a breakfast side. Whatever time you choose to have it, you will indubitably relish it.
I like holidays. For all the right and not so right reasons. But mostly for the indulgence. Family and friends come together and enjoy good company and great food. One of my favourite this Easter was this divine chocolate cupcake recipe. It is such a simple recipe, you should have no excuse not to try it.
These absolutely aromatic banana pancakes are a treat for sure! Indubitably, pancakes are a hit for all ages. With a feather like crisp on the outside and a fluffy core, these nutmeg flavoured banana pancakes are sublime!
There is this cliché about a good hearty breakfast; eggs, bacon, cheese. Any or all of these. I loooove them all. And especially this omelette with cheese. Personally, I thank the Big Guy upstairs, that I’m not allergic to any of them! That would be miserable.
My daughter has a sweet tooth. I point this out specifically because I am not too hot on sweet, preferring instead, the savory side of life. I am however, particularly proud of this simple moist chocolate cake recipe. It is the result of many bungled attempts but I finally nailed it!
This cake is light, fluffy and airy and full of chocolaty goodness, yum! The recipe is quick and easy to follow making it a no brainer and most definitely a keeper!

Last weekend I was super excited because my dad came to visit! He stayed for a couple of days and this gave me the opportunity to cook for him on several occasions. Now that I think about it, I do not remember the last time I cooked for him…I must have been a teenager! So one of the things I made for him are red velvet crepes.
This weekend I got a good number of oranges from the market. As soon as I got home my daughter asked me what quick thing can we do with them because they looked so good. We made orange marmalade. I love it when she gets involved in helping me around the kitchen.
